Quaker Healing: Old and New
A Weekend Workshop in Flagstaff November 10, 11 & 12, 2017
Led by John Calvi, Quaker Healer Content:
This weekend workshop will be an introduction to the healing work of Friends both historically and contemporarily. We will learn two simple bodywork forms for deep relaxation and ways to avoid burnout from hard work, the noise of the world, and the ongoing task of awareness in difficult times. The tone of the workshop and everything presented will be gentle. The pace will be slow. Most people will find the work to be very relaxing. The Leader: John Calvi, is the author of “The Dance Between Hope & Fear” and is a Certified Massage Therapist specializing in trauma. Since 1982 he’s worked with sexual abuse survivors, inmates, veterans, tortured refugees, and others. John is known for a tender touch, good humor, and teaching healing work in the Quaker tradition.
